Castle Collage Competition
NHS Celebrating Our Community
As part of the annual Lancaster Health Festival, Lancaster Integrated Care Community (ICC) hosts a fun community competition to promote integration and collaboration and improve wellbeing.
This year saw them host their 4th community event entitled, Castle College Competition.
The Collage was drawn by local artist Lou Andrews who works for Cancercare and the competition this year saw 25 primary schools, local groups and care homes enter 55 separate collages.
To celebrate their fantastic efforts Lancaster ICC is hosting an exhibition of all the collages at The Storey 7th-10th September 2021.
We’d like to invite all competition participants, their families and friends and members of the public to come along to The Storey between 9.30am and 7pm Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th September 2021, to view the amazing collages and to vote for this year’s overall winners in each of the 3 categories.
No need to book (unless in a large party) just turn up.
Built in 1887 by Thomas Storey to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, The Storey is a beautiful historic building that to this day, retains its original purpose of promoting art, science and literature.
The Storey has lift access to the exhibition room and The Print Room Café/Bar offers hot and cold food and drinks 9am-4.30pm Mon-Fri.
The accessible walled garden to the rear is also available to visitors to sit, eat reflect.
